- Ask for the written warranty: what it covers (finish material, workmanship, delamination), for how long, and who backs it.
- Texas has no state pool-contractor license: the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation program list (checked October 23, 2026) has no pool-contractor category. Ask for proof of insurance, and make sure any electrical work is done by a TDLR-licensed electrician.
